New Core Maintainer - Boris Glimcher

The SPDK project has a team of core maintainers who are responsible for providing technical oversight for the SPDK project, including final review and merging of patches into the SPDK code base. The core maintainer team looks to add to its team with contributors who are demonstrating technical skill and leadership within the project over an extended period of time. So we are pleased to announce that we are adding Boris Glimcher to the core maintainer team!

Boris has been contributing to SPDK since 2022, with over 400 patches including a major effort to define the JSON-RPC interface in a machine-readable schema, which now drives the generated RPC documentation and keeps the Python CLI consistent with it. He has also been a steady contributor to SPDK’s packaging, CI and test infrastructure, as well as NVMe/TLS support across the sock layer, NVMe/TCP initiator and nvmf target, along with its tests. Boris is a Senior Distinguished Engineer in the Office of the CTO of the Infrastructure Solutions Group (ISG) at Dell Technologies, where he focuses on everything storage related, including storage for AI.
